Vases, as well as the rarer bowls featuring the Cytisus-design (laburnum) represent the Glasshouse’s most creative era. This striking and interestingly rhythmic design, closely related to the contemporary Viennese painting such as Klimt’s Beethoven-Cycle from 1902, was almost exclusively used for objects with lively wavy contours that often extended into the space through dynamic curves.
