In the last decade of the 17th century, there were far more excellent glass engraver in Nuremberg than we know now by name. They might have been scholars, sons or daughters of great masters like Schwanhardt, Schwinger and Killinger. There are no documents left of this special kind. The engraver mostly worked on submittals but we are often not able to understand the meaning of certain events.
